Pinar de Campoverde is a village located on a wooded hillside, 8 km inland, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The centre of the village is located on the two-kilometre-long Avenida del Pino, which runs from the Pilar de la Horadada road to the sports grounds (Polideportivo) in Río Seco. There are many bars, restaurants and shops along the street. There is also a medical centre and a vet. On Sundays, a small street market is organised in the centre of the village, close to the free car park. In a new area located to the west of the village, there is a second shopping area. There is a pharmacy and several bars and shops. There is a beautiful view of the countryside from there. The settlements built on the banks of the Rio Seco (dry river) are located on hills and this older part of the village has very narrow streets in places. This is where the Parque Central (Central Park) is located. The village is only a 20-minute drive from Murcia Airport (San Javier) and less than an hour from Alicante. To the south-west of the village is the famous Rio Seco National Park, where you can walk along the (usually dry) river bed. There you can admire the fascinating relief carved by the river's waters into the sandstone over thousands of years. Several beaches can be reached in 15 minutes by car from Pinar de Campoverde. 4 km of sandy beaches lie from El Mojon to Mil Palmeras, including a nice little cove at Torre de la Horadada, where there is also a marina.
